Last week, I attended the Hispanic Quality of Life Initaitive press conference at City Hall. I’ve been working with Austin Council member Mike Martinez & Assistant City Manager Rudy Garza at the City Manager’s office on United Way Capital Area’s engagement project & was happy to see that the City has launched the series of community forums to learn more from Hispanics/Latinos & their quality of life in Austin, TX. The forums will focus on Education, Economic Development, Cultural Arts & Health.
Council member Mike Martinez made a clear “call to action” & I hope our communities answer that call: Particpate in the forums, bring your neighbors & friends & make your voices heard! I know I’ll be doing my part to get nuestra gente out!
