Feliz Diez y Seis! I was playing around with Garage Band last night and came up with this cool Mexican/Xicano playlist. I took out my vinyl coleccion to share some good Diez y Seis inspired musica – El Chente, Los Lobos, Javier Solis, Linda Rondstadt y mas! So shut down that Pandora and give El Mundo de Mando a try!
Warning! This was my first attempt so don’t get distracted by my ums and background noises. There’s even a surprise ending!
Don’t miss out this weekend’s Steamboat Reunion with David Garza, AJ Vallejo, Johnnie Goudie y mas! I hear David is gonna roll out some of his old school conciones from his days at the drag. So with that said, here’s some inspiration for you…and who ever answers this question, gets on the guest list + 1!
What was David’s orginal band name? Leave your answers in the comment section.
Mando singing, “Sabes que te quiero, Pachanga, me gusta todas las bandas, Pachanga, if you only had tacos, Pachanga!” Did you recognize the Juana La Cubana tema? As you can tell, I’m very excited about this year’s Pachanga Latino Music Festival! I mean the line up is pretty solid, touching all aspects of the Latin Nation, from Tejano to Rock en Español to DJ’s to Mariachi to puro Funk! The bands speak for themselves….
